CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team finishes out it's trio of matches with a battle against crosstown rival Xavier. The match is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start on Sunday, April 7 and will be held at the Jim and Mary Brockhoff Family Tennis Facility.

The Bearcats celebrated Senior Day as they took on Middle Tennessee. The Bearcats opened the match on a hot streak as they swept doubles action. The duo of Ioana Guna and Anna Philp got things going with a 6-2 victory on court #2. Emma Miceli and Caroline Morton kept things going with a 6-2 victory of their own on court #3. Antonella Bramato and Alexia Coutino completed the sweep with the Bearcats third straight 6-2 showing on court #1.
Bramato/Coutino are now 11-5 for the season.
Philp/Guna move to 9-5 for the season.
The team stands at 28-17 in doubles play during dual matches.
MTSU bounced back and took the first three singles matches to take a 3-1 lead, but the Bearcats would not go down without a fight. Antonella Bramato got the Bearcats on the board with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 victory on court #1. Caroline Morton knotted the match at 3-3 as she battled to a 7-6 (0), 5-7, 6-2 victory on court #3, but MTSU took the match victory following a 3-6, 7-6 (4), 6-4 showing on court #2.
Santilli moves to 12-3 in singles for the season, including 7-0 on court #5.
Miceli is now 10-4 for the season, including 7-1 on court #6.
Bramato advances to 8-3 for the season, including 5-1 on court #2.
Morton moves to 11-5 for the season, including 9-4 on court #3.
The team stands at 56-35 in singles play during dual matches.

Xavier enters the match with an 18-2 record thus far this season, including a 7-0 showing in Big East play, and holds a sixteen-match win streak.
Sophia Abelson enters the match on a four-match win streak in singles and holds an overall record of 13-5, including a 9-5 record on court #2. Kaitlin Ruether holds an overall record of 15-2 in singles action, including an 8-2 showing on court #6. Rounding out top performances in singles is Emily Thomas who holds a 15-3 record, including 10-1 at court #3.
Top doubles performers is the duo of Sophia Abelson and Kaitlin Ruether who are currently 13-3, including 11-3 on court #2. Rachel Reichenbach and Hunter Roper hold a 13-4 record in doubles play, including 12-4 on court #3.
