In the first round earlier Saturday morning, Squires registered three birdies, a pair of birdies and 13 par scores to post a 1-under 71.
Squires sits five strokes behind tournament leader Jordan Hahn of Wisconsin, who owns a 9-under 67-68=135 after 36 holes.

UC sophomore Nicolas Osterburg (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian High School) and redshirt freshman Mason Lenhart (Prospect, Ky./North Oldham High School) are tied 68th place at 7-over 151. Osterburg recorded rounds of 72 and 79 while Lenhart carded rounds of 73 and 78.
