// SCOUTING THE PIRATES
The Pirates of ECU have hoisted the anchor, raised the colors and set sail for Orlando, Florida from their stronghold in Greenville, North Carolina. The Pirates are sharpening their swords, reloading their cannons and look to continue their program-best 22-match win streak. Since recounting their vast voyages this season, the Pirates have added the Bearcats and the UConn Huskies to their boneyard. They sunk the Bearcats in a heartbreaking 4-3 victory that featured a three-set thriller that went to a tiebreak to decide the match and then followed it up by sending the Huskies to the doghouse in a 5-2 victory to close out the regular season.
At the helm and leading the armada for the Pirates is Celia Ruiz who currently holds a 16-1 record in singles play this season, including a 13-1 showing on court #2. Ruiz has swabbed the deck with her last 15 straight opponents. Following closely behind Ruiz is a pair of cutthroat competitors in Alisa Diercksen and Lisa Hofbauer, both of whom hold 14-3 records in singles this season. Diercksen has left many landlubbers in her wake as she's battled to a 12-1 showing on court #3. Hofbauer's swashbuckling adventures has been heard wide and far as all of her matches have occurred on court #1. Another notorious marauder, Nastja Rettich carries an eleven-match win streak in to the match.
The Pirates conquests don't end with the individual bandits, many of them have teamed up for their own conquests. The duo of Celia Ruiz and Minette Van Vreden may have been defeated in their first battle together, but have left the last 13 challengers capsized and abandoning ship. Ruiz and Van Vreden hold a 12-1 record on court #2. The Pirates other deadly duo comes in the form of Alisa Diercksen and Lisa Hofbauer have left many scattered among the wreckage and in their wake enroute to a 13-4 record this season with all matches occurring on court #1.

// COACH TOTH ON THE BEARCATS
"Our girls are really looking forward to the tournament and a rematch with East Carolina. Very little separated us last weekend and likely very little will separate us tomorrow. We have a lot of respect for ECU and the season they have had, so we know we will have to bring our very best to advance. Tomorrow's match is exactly type of match you want to be involved in during your post-season. We'll be ready."
