Osterburg took a 1-under 34 score to the turn thanks to a birdie and eight par scores on his first nine holes. He posted four bogies during his last nine holes, including three in a row from the second through fourth holes to finish at 2-over 73.
Squires notched four birdies that offset four bogies during his first round. However, a double bogie on the second hole helped lead to his 2-over 73 score.
The Bearcats duo is seven strokes behind tournament leader McClure Meissner of SMU, who carded a 5-under 66 Sunday.
As a unit, the Bearcats are tied with UConn for seventh place in the 10-team event at 12-over 296. SMU leads the event after 18 holes at 1-over 285.
Other UC scores Sunday included redshirt-sophomore Andy Mayhew (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood High School) and redshirt-freshman Mason Lenhart (R-Fr., Prospect, Ky./North Oldham High School) tying for 29th place at 4-over 75. UC freshman Sam Jean (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove High School) is tied for 43rd place after a 6-over 77.
