CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati baseball dropped a Tuesday night contest to No. 7 Louisville by a score of 12-0.
 
// NOTABLES
• UC drops to 18-22 on the season and Louisville improves to 32-9
• Jeremy Johnson had two of the team's hits in two official at-bats and added in a walk and stolen base
• Griffin Merritt went 0-for-1 but had two walks
• Andrew Noelker had his first collegiate start on the mound, going 3.1 innings with two runs on two hits
• The trio of A.J. Kullman, Clayton Colvin and Nathan Moore followed out of the bullpen

Top of the 4th
The scoring got started for the Cardinals with a single and two doubles to score three
Top of the 5th
• Two walks, a double and a ground out added on two runs for Louisville
Top of the 6th
• After an error put the leadoff runner on, a homerun to left field with two outs made the lead 7-0
Top of the 7th
• Louisville tacked on another run on two walks and a single in the seventh
Top of the 8th
• The biggest inning for the Cardinals came in the eighth when they scored four. A solo homerun started it. After the solo shot, a walk, hit batter and another walk loaded the bases. Louisville took advantage of the situation with a triple to clear the bases
