The Bearcats jumped out to a 1-0 lead after sweeping the doubles action, but MTSU came roaring back taking three straight singles victories. The Bearcats would not go down without a fight as Senior Antonella Bramato turned the tide with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 victory on court #1. Caroline Morton tied the match up 3-3 as she gutted out a thrilling 7-6 (0), 5-7, 6-2 victory on court #3, but MTSU claimed the match victory with a 3-6, 7-6 (4), 6-4 victory on court #2.
Santilli moves to 12-3 in singles for the season, including 7-0 on court #5.
Miceli is now 10-4 for the season, including 7-1 on court #6.
Bramato advances to 8-3 for the season, including 5-1 on court #2.
Morton moves to 11-5 for the season, including 9-4 on court #3.

"We were more energetic in doubles and it totally reflected that, but just got off to a slow start in singles. They're a good team and it's disappointing, but we played well enough to win and that's how college tennis is. When you have two even teams it comes down to a couple of points and they won more of them today, but I'm proud of the way we fought."
