University of Cincinnati baseball hosts NKU at 11 a.m. on Tuesday for its annual Fastballs and Fitness matinee game.
The Bearcats broke the Marge Schott Stadium attendance record last year with 2,363 fans at the event on May 15. Nearly 2,000 students from more than 40 classrooms in the tri-state area will be in attendance on Tuesday to take in the action and learn about healthy habits.

• UC is 33-15 all-time against NKU
• The Bearcats beat the Norse 14-6 earlier this season at home thanks in part to a big eight-run eighth inning
• Every hitter contributed in some way during that game while Nathan Moore earned the win on the mound

• UC's Korren Thompson was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll this week for his performance on the mound
• Thompson earned the save in both of the team's victories at Memphis
• He struck out three batters in 2.2 combined innings while walking one and giving up just one hit
• His two saves brings him to nine on the season, which is tied for second-most in the conference

• UC finished AAC play with a 13-11 record this past weekend and has a bye weekend where they will face Xavier for three games to finish out the regular season
• The first of three games will be Thursday night at Marge Schott Stadium at 6 p.m.
• On Friday the two teams will face off at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio at 7 p.m.
• Admission is free to Friday's game along with free parking and concessions
• Saturday's finale will be played at Great American Ball Park after the Reds and Dodgers finish their 4:10 p.m. game
• Those with tickets to the Reds game can remain for the UC-XU game, and fans coming for just the collegiate contest will get in to the ballpark free of charge

• The top eight of nine teams in the conference will qualify for the AAC Tournament held Tuesday, May 21 through Sunday, May 25 at Spectrum Field in Clearwater, Florida
• The tournament's schedule has been modified for this season
• All eight teams will play on Tuesday with the losers of those four games facing off in elimination games on Wednesday
• The winners of Tuesday's contests will have Wednesday off and play each other on Thursday
• Games continue on Friday with two more elimination games
• Saturday will be semifinal action before the championship game held at noon on Sunday
