CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati women's basketball head coach Michelle Clark-Heard announced Wednesday the addition of Erica Holmes to her staff as Director of Basketball Operations.
A North Carolina native and former Denison University student-athlete, Holmes spent the past two years working as an Operations Assistant with the University of Louisville women's basketball program.
"I am excited to announce the addition of Erica Holmes to my staff," said Clark-Heard. "She has gained invaluable experience working with a high-functioning and championship program at Louisville. She has been a part of a winning culture and has seen the benefit of hard work and dedication to her craft."
In her role at Louisville, Holmes assisted the Director of Operations in coordinating team travel and equipment needs as well as assisting with team camps, among other duties.
A Denison graduate with bachelor's degrees in both educational studies and psychology, Holmes played in 77 games for the Big Red with 50 starts at the point guard position as an upperclasswoman. She went on to earn a master's degree in sport administration from Louisville.
Holmes is an alumna of Harnett Central High School in Angier, North Carolina where she was a four-year letter winner in basketball for the Trojans.
"I'm thrilled to be joining the UC women's basketball program," said Holmes. "It's a pleasure to work with coach Clark-Heard and the staff. I am looking forward to being a part of this program's growth and success."
