OXFORD, Ohio– University of Cincinnati baseball played a tough game against Miami (OH) Tuesday night but fell 7-6 in ten innings when the RedHawks walked off on a solo homerun.
The Bearcats led before the home team tied it in the fifth. Joey Wiemer made a running catch on the warning track to send the game to extras then started off the tenth with a double, but it was Miami who was able to score the game's final run.

• Nick Murray went 3.0 innings in the start with three runs on three hits and a strikeout
• Garrett Schoenle followed with 2.1 innings of work before Andrew Noelker threw 2.2 frames of one-hit baseball with a strikeout

• UC got off to a 4-0 start. Eric Santiago started the game with a walk before Wyatt Stapp singled to put runners on the corners. Bumpass earned his two RBI on a single to right field. Merritt kept the inning going with a single to center field before the bases became loaded on a walk to Holding. Mercer came through with a base hit to score two more
Bottom of the 1st
• Miami answered with three runs to make it a one-run game. Two singles and a hit batter loaded the bases before a double emptied them
Top of the 5th
• The scoring subsided until the Bearcats added two to make it a 6-3 lead. Bellini reached on an error, Stapp on a fielder's choice and Wiemer on a ball to the back to put two on with one out. Merritt singled home one run and an error allowed Stapp to score
Bottom of the 5th
• The Redhawks were able to answer once again, this time tying the game at three apiece. Three consecutive singles and a walk started the rally before another single and an error evened the game
Bottom of the 10th
• The second pitch in the bottom of the tenth was hit over the left field wall to win it for the RedHawks
