CORVALLIS, Ore. – University of Cincinnati baseball fell 10-4 to Michigan in NCAA Regional action Saturday night.

The Bearcats will now face Creighton at 2 p.m. EST on Sunday in an elimination game aired live on ESPNU. The Bluejays knocked off No. 1 seed and reigning national champion Oregon State earlier on Saturday to remain alive. The winner of Sunday's first game will move on to play Michigan at 9 p.m. EST.

// KEY INNINGS
Top of the 1st

• The Wolverines were able to grab an early lead as the game's leadoff batter sent the third pitch of the contest over the right field wall
Bottom of the 2nd
• The lead did not last long as the Bearcats tied it at one in the second. Mercer doubled to right center, moved to third on a passed ball and made a gutsy play running into home on a strikeout that got away from the catcher and the catcher had to throw down to first
Top of the 5th
• It remained knotted at one until UC posted a big three-run inning. Mercer singled, A.J. Bumpass walked and later Jeremy Johnson worked a walk with two outs. Santiago came up with the big swing, hitting one off the wall in left center with a bases-clearing double
Top of the 6th
• Unfortunately, the 4-1 lead did not last as Michigan plated five in the sixth. A single and homerun made it a one-run game. Three walks loaded the bases, allowing a fly ball to center field to result in a game-tying sacrifice fly. A single, walk and hit batter put the Wolverines ahead 6-4
Top of the 8th
• That lead grew to 10-4 with a four-run eighth. Two singles, a walk and two more base hits and an error rounded out the scoring on the night
