CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati men's soccer's Justin Ferguson has been elevated from assistant coach to associate head coach. Ferguson joined head coach Hylton Dayes' staff prior to the 2015 season.
"When we hired Justin four years ago," said Dayes, "we felt he had the potential to develop into a top-level college soccer coach. Since then, he has not only become an excellent coach, but also a very valuable member of our staff. He is dedicated, hardworking, knowledgeable, and relates well to the players. He has been an asset to our program and the Bearcats community."
In four seasons at UC, Ferguson has helped develop multiple All-American Athletic Conference and All-Ohio picks, as well as a pair of MLS Super Draft selections and an All-Region honoree. Additionally, the Denver, Colorado native was instrumental in recruiting key personnel and helping game-plan for numerous UC victories, including a trio of upsets of nationally-ranked opponents.
"I'd like to thank everyone at the University of Cincinnati for their support over the last four years," said Ferguson. "I feel very honored to represent UC and this city. I'd like to thank coach Dayes for his continued mentorship and I look forward to continuing to work with our talented student athletes."
