CINCINNATI - The 2019 schedule for the University of Cincinnati cross country program has been announced with the Bearcats set to feature in five regular season competitions before taking aim at postseason success. Excluding the NCAA Championships, the UC women will race six times on the year with the men taking part in five competitions.

The season will get underway with the 38th running of the Queen City Invitational which will return to the Valhalla Course on the Northern Kentucky campus for the second year in a row after it had not hosted an event in 39 years. The meet, which will feature many schools from the region, will take place Saturday, August 31. From there, the women will race two weeks later as they will travel to Cedarville, Ohio, for the 29th Friendship Invitational on September 14.

Both teams will be in action on September 21 as they will make their first of two trips to Memphis, this time race in the AAC Preview, which will give the Bearcats a chance to run the course that will be used later in the season for the conference championships. From there, the final two meets of the regular season will take place in October with the teams heading to Louisville for the 18th Live in Lou Classic (October 5) and the NCAA Pre-National meet (October 19) in Terre Haute, Ind., the site of the 2019 NCAA Championships.

November 1, the Bearcats will be back in Memphis, this time to race in the AAC Championships. Following the first postseason race of the year, UC will venture to Madison, Wis., for the 2019 NCAA Great Lakes Region Championships, hosted by Wisconsin. Should the Bearcats qualify, either individually or as a team, they will return to Terre Haute, Ind., on November 23, for the NCAA Championships.
