CINCINNATI - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its annual academic awards with the University of Cincinnati again placing seven players on the individual list while the Bearcats team also was honored.

// TEAM RECOGNITION
The Bearcats were named to the ITA All-Academic Team Award list after meeting the 3.20 GPA threshold once again. With their recognition this year, the Bearcats have now been named to the ITA list for six years in a row beginning in the 2013-14 academic year.

// INDIVIDUAL SUCCESS
Individually, seven different Bearcats were selected for academic honors as each held a 3.50 or better GPA for the year and met the following criteria:
- varsity letter winner
- enrolled at the present school for at least 2 semesters

Those seven women honored this year included six that earned their second career accolade from the ITA, including Alexia Coutino, Ioana Guna, Emma Miceli, Caroline Morton, Anna Philp and Maria Teixido Garcia. Maria Santilli, who just completed her first year with the program, earned her first ITA honor this year.
