CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati women's golf's complete 2019-20 schedule was announced Wednesday by head coach Janet Carl. In total, the Bearcats will compete in 11 tournaments – five in the fall and six in the spring.

An overall challenging schedule, the Bearcats will play in five tournaments hosted by teams who ranked among the top 70 in this past season's NCAA Division I Golfstat rankings. UC will tee off the season at ECU, Sept. 23-24.

"We're excited to announce our 2019-20 schedule," said Carl. "The fall season sees us with a later start, but is packed full of competition with two new tournaments. The University of Kentucky event and the Kiawah Island tournament both feature strong teams and are great additions to our schedule. These additions continue to allow us the chance to play against top competition which will help prepare us for the conference championship in the spring.  The spring season will also have a later start, due to the league championship being a week later than usual. As such, we have added two new tournaments -- EKU and Murray State. Both events will also give us a chance to get the players ready for the AAC championship."

UC will follow up the Pirate Collegiate Classic with competition at the UK Bettie Lou Evans Invitational, Sept. 27-29.

Two weeks later, the Bearcats will begin October competition at the College of Charleston Palmetto Intercollegiate, Oct. 13-15, in Kiawah Island. For the third-consecutive season, the Red & Black will play in the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational, Oct. 20-22 in Sarasota, Florida.

UC will wrap the fall season at the Mercer Idle Hour Collegiate Championship, Nov. 4-5, in Macon, Georgia.

After a winter break, the Bearcats will pick back up with the spring season, Feb. 17-18, at the Jacksonville Amelia Island Collegiate in Fernandina Beach, Florida. UC will return to the Jacksonville area weeks later to participate in the North Florida Collegiate, March 9-10.

The Red & Black will then head west to compete in the Notre Dame Clover Cup, March 13-15, in Mesa, Arizona. UC will next compete in the EKU Colonel Classic, March 30-31, in Richmond, Kentucky. The Bearcats will close the regular season with the Murray State Jan Weaver Invitational, April 10-11, in Murray, Kentucky.

The 2020 American Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship will be held April 19-21 at Hammock Beach Resort & Golf Club in Palm Coast, Florida.

Six UC golfers will be back in 2019-20, including leading returning scorer and rising senior Alyssa Burritt (Bellbrook, Ohio/Bellbrook) who posted a 76.2 scoring average over 33 rounds last year. Rising junior Angela Lopez (Bogotá, Colombia), who shot a low round of 69 last season and averaged a score of 76.9 during 33 rounds, also returns. Joining four upperclassmen and two sophomores will be a talented pair of state of Ohio products in freshmen Paighton Masterson (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake) and Natalia Sompolvorachai (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy Orange).
