TicketsThe American Athletic Conference announced its weekly volleyball awards on Monday with University of Cincinnati's Jordan Thompson being named to the honor roll.
Thompson, who was named the Auto-Owners Insurance Spartan Invitational MVP after the Bearcats won the tournament, averaged 5.30 kills per set while hitting .311. She added in 2.70 digs per set, five service aces and four blocks on the weekend. In Friday's first match against No. 21 Tennessee, Thompson totaled 26 kills to lead UC to the 3-0 match victory.
This is the second weekly AAC honor for Thompson in as many weeks. She was named the Offensive Player of the Week after the opening weekend of competition.

UC makes the short trip down to NKU this weekend for an invitational. The Bearcats will begin action again Notre Dame on Friday at 3 p.m. They will then play Ball State at 10 a.m. on Saturday and the host Norse later that day at 7:30 p.m.
