CINCINNATI - The second day of competition at the Purdue Fall Invitational came to a close Saturday afternoon for the University of Cincinnati tennis program with the Bearcats posting a combined record of 5-2 on the day, including a 4-0 mark in singles play, and capturing a doubles title as well. The team of Amanda Huser and Anna Philp combined to win their doubles flight early in the day at the Schwartz Tennis Center in West Lafayette, Ind., while all four Bearcats on hand were victorious in their lone singles matches as well.

// COACH'S VIEW
Following Saturday's action, Assistant Coach Katarina Adamovic had the following to say about the play of the Bearcats:

"Today was a very positive day for the girls. All the girls fought and competed extremely well and were challenged on each court. I think we did a lot of good things in our singles matches today; it's a great step moving forward with our season and practices. Tournaments like this with a lot of good matches and facing different adversity is what prepares you what we will face in the spring."

// WINNERS!
The day opened with doubles action and the Bearcats capturing a title as Huser & Philp combined to down DePaul's Marija Jovicic & Maddie Yergler in the final of the Purdue Draw, 8-7 (3). With the win, the duo posted a perfect 3-0 record on the weekend as well.

In the Gold Draw, the team of Alexia Coutino & Ioana Guna reached the semifinal, but dropped both of their matches on the day to finish 2-2 in their draw and fourth place overall.
