TicketsPROVIDENCE, R.I. – University of Cincinnati men's soccer junior forward Darryn Commissiong (Pickering, Ontario/St. Mary Catholic) was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday afternoon after recording five points last week as the Bearcats went 1-1.
The junior scored the first goal of the game in a 2-1 overtime home loss to No. 24 West Virginia on Tuesday. He followed with an assist on the initial score of the match and later sent the game to OT with a goal in the 90th minute in a 4-3 OT win at Bowling Green on Saturday.
On the season, the forward leads the Bearcats with seven points (3 goals, 1 assist).
The weekly accolade is the second time this year UC has been recognized by the league with freshman midfielder Kyle Healy (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius) and junior goalkeeper Noah Lawrence (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Sacred Heart) named Rookie of the Week and Weekly Honor Roll recipient, respectively, on Sept. 9.
