For the third time in four weeks of competition, the American Athletic Conference has named University of Cincinnati volleyball standout Jordan Thompson as its Offensive Player of the Week.

Thompson posted incredible numbers in three matches for the Bearcats, averaging 7.64 kills per set on a .404 hitting percentage. In 166 attempts she had just 17 errors with 84 total kills. Thompson added 2.73 digs per set and five service aces to her performance. In the sweep at Xavier Thursday night, she had a match-high 22 kills with 11 digs. She helped UC to another match sweep during the home-opener on Saturday against Bowling Green with 21 kills while hitting .455. Her week ended with 41 kills in a hard-fought, five-set match against No. 25 Louisville, missing her own UC record by three kills. Thompson remains in the top five in the nation in kills, points, kills per set and points per set this season and is the clear conference leader in those categories.
