LEXINGTON, Ky. – Following a quick turnaround from its season-opening tournament at ECU early this week, University of Cincinnati women's golf will be back in action Friday-Sunday at the 2019 Bettie Lou Evans Invitational at the University Club of Kentucky.
// THE TOURNAMENT
The tournament will follow a Friday-Saturday-Sunday format with 18 holes slated for each day. Play will start on Friday and Saturday with tee times at 8:30 a.m. ET, while a 9 a.m. shotgun start will tee off Sunday's third and final round. On Friday, UC will be paired with Western Kentucky and Rutgers and will begin teeing off from hole No. 10 at 8:30.

Junior Angela Lopez (Bogotá, Colombia) recorded the second top-five finish of her career on Tuesday with a final-round 76 to finish in fifth place at the ECU Pirate Collegiate Classic at Greenville Country Club. The Bearcats, as a team, turned in their best round of the tournament with a score of 304.
After shooting a 145 (73-72) during Monday's opening two rounds, Lopez buried three birdies in the third round to bring her tournament total to 221 – good for fifth on the player leaderboard.
Freshman Natalia Sompolvorachai (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy Orange) had the most marked improvement with a final-round 74 after shooting an 80 and 81, respectively, on Monday. Her Tuesday showing included three birdie scores, including 1-under-par on the front nine holes.
Senior Alyssa Burritt (Bellbrook, Ohio/Bellbrook) stayed steady with a 76 on Tuesday to move up into a tie for 25th overall. Freshman Paighton Masterson (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake) bounced back from a second-round 83 with a third-round 80. Junior Vanessa Manrique (Bogotá, Colombia) holed one birdie on the day and finished in a tie for 23rd. Competing individually, senior Daniela Murcia (Bogotá, Colombia) ended Tuesday in a tie for 30th, with three birdies.
