The American Athletic Conference announced its weekly awards on Monday afternoon with University of Cincinnati's Jordan Thompson earning a spot on the honor roll.
Thompson averaged 5.67 kills per set while hitting .361 to lead the Bearcats to a 2-0 start and 6-0 start in sets in AAC play. She became UC's all-time leader in career kills on her eighth kill against ECU Friday night. She finished the match with 16. On Sunday at Wichita State, she had 18 kills while hitting .429 in another 3-0 win for UC. She remains the conference leader in kills while ranking second in the nation in kills per set and first in total kills and points per set.

The quest for a conference title continues when the two top teams in the American Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll meet on Friday. UC will take on UCF for a noon match at Fifth Third Arena. The Bearcats will then host USF on Sunday at 1 p.m.
