CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati football team heads out on the road Saturday, traveling north for a non-conference matchup with No. 5 Ohio State. Kickoff is slated for noon in Ohio Stadium. The game will be televised nationally ABC and air on 700 WLW AM and 102.7 WEBN FM.

THE SERIES
The teams have met 16 times previously, most recently in 2014. Ohio State holds a 14-2 advantage in the all-time series, which dates back to 1893. Cincinnati's two wins came in 1896 and 1897, respectively.

THE COACHES
Luke Fickell, the 2018 American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, is in his third season at Cincinnati. The 42nd head coach in program history, Fickell took the reins in December 2016 after 15 years at his alma mater, Ohio State. A veteran of nearly 20 years in the FBS ranks, Fickell was a part of nine Big Ten Conference titles (seven as a coach, two as a player) and two national championship squads with 16 postseason games and 13 NFL Draft selections under his belt.

Ryan Day is in his first season as the head coach at Ohio State. He had a three-game stint as the Buckeyes interim head coach in 2018 and holds a 4-0 career coaching mark. Day spent the 2017 and 2018 campaigns at OSU as co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. The 18-year coaching veteran previously had stints in the NFL (San Francisco 49ers & Philadelphia Eagles) and at Boston College, Temple, Florida and his alma mater, New Hampshire.
