PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A pair of University of Cincinnati men's soccer student-athletes were recognized by the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Monday with junior goalkeeper Noah Lawrence (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Sacred Heart) named Goalkeeper of the Week, while junior forward Darryn Commissiong (Pickering, Ontario/St. Mary Catholic) was picked for the Weekly Honor Roll.

The duo was vital in the Bearcats (3-6-1, 0-1-1 AAC) going undefeated last week.

Lawrence notched his first clean sheet of the season with four stops in a 5-0 home win Tuesday vs. Purdue Fort Wayne (PFW). He followed with a season-high-tying six saves in 1-1 OT draw at Temple on Saturday. The junior has 37 saves on the year which is tops in the league.

Also against PFW, UC's offense was paced by Commissiong who dished out an assist and recorded a pair of goals – both within 10 minutes of each other late in the second half – to bring his season total to 12 points. For the season, the junior's goals total (5) ranks sixth in the conference, while his points total is tied for eighth.

The weekly awards mark the third time this year UC has been recognized by the league. Commissiong previously landed on the Honor Roll on Sept. 23, while Lawrence did the same on Sept. 9.
