The American Athletic Conference has once again recognized University of Cincinnati's Jordan Thompson as its Offensive Player of the Week. She has received the honor four times in six weeks of play.
Thompson had an unbelievable week, averaging 9.29 kills per set while hitting .447 with three aces, 3.29 digs per set and three blocks. She was four kills off of UC's three-set record with 28 in a big sweep over conference rival and 2018 undefeated champion UCF on Friday afternoon. She followed that with 37 kills in a 3-1 win against USF to keep the Bearcats perfect in conference games. Thompson was named the AVCA National Player of the Week twice last season, averaging 7.45 kills per set and 7.89 kills per set. The big week puts Thompson once again as the nation's leader in kills, points, kills per set and points per set.
