// QUOTING HEAD COACH DOUG MARTIN
On the first day of the Bearcat Invitational:
"It was very important to drive the ball in the fairway today. If you didn't, you had to be pretty defensive into a lot of the greens just because of the speed and the firmness of the greens. Louisville played great today. What a performance.

"We had a good day. Nobody was more than 2-under and nobody was more than 2-over for the whole day. We just didn't have that explosive round. The afternoon round was very similar to what we did in the morning. Nobody really got it 3- or 4-under par, which was needed today.

"As far as the way we played and the way we executed shots, I was very pleased with how we did that today.

"It will be important to come out tomorrow and be very aggressive, hit high quality shots and give ourselves some looks early in the round to see if we can build some momentum to create an opportunity to have a really good finish."
