CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics will honor one of the most successful football teams in school history this weekend as the 2009 Bearcats are celebrated Friday and Saturday on campus.
The Bearcats finished 2009 with a perfect 12-0 regular season, won the BIG EAST Conference Championship and played in the 2010 Allstate Sugar Bowl.
The entire 2009 team along with the longtime Voice of the Bearcats, Dan Hoard, will be inducted into the James P. Kelly UC Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday night at the 19th Annual Legion of Excellence Gala, presented by Ameritas, on Friday night at Fifth Third Arena. On Saturday, No. 21 UC faces Tulsa at 3:30 p.m. ET in Nippert Stadium and the team, along with former Head Coach Brian Kelly, will be honored at the first timeout of the first quarter. A 2009-themed souvenir cup will be available for purchase at select concessions stands.
The Fifth Third Arena Tailgate, which opens at 11:30 a.m., will show the UC-Pitt game from 2009 on The Jeff Wyler Vision Videoboard starting at noon.
Prior to the game, members of the 2009 team will be on the Grid from 1:30-2:30 p.m. for an autograph signing presented by Ameritas. Some of the Bearcats committed to take part in the autograph session are: WR Armon Binns, DE Alex Daniels, CB Brad Jones, C Chris Jurek, RB Isaiah Pead, QB Tony Pike, LB Andre Revels and S Aaron Webster among others.
The players will be signing a copy of the 2009 UC team photo. The list of participants is subject to change.
The game will be televised on ESPNU and air on 700 WLW AM.

Single-game tickets are available for all remaining home games. The Fight to the Finish pack is now available with Bearcats fans able to attend the final three home games at Nippert Stadium for as little as $58. The Football Flex Pack (five ticket vouchers) is $155 and group tickets for outings of 20 or more start at $24.
