// LAST TIME OUT
UC (4-7-1, 0-2-1 AAC) saw its three-match unbeaten streak snapped on Oct. 12 with a 2-0 loss to UConn at Gettler Stadium.

In a physical, defensive bout, the Red & Black fell victim late to a handball call inside their box in the 75th minute which the visitors converted into a penalty-kick score. With time winding down in regulation, UC had its sights set on the equalizer, but a defensive lapse in the 89th minute allowed UConn to increase its lead to 2-0 and ice the match.

The Bearcats were aggressive on the offensive end throughout with 12 shots total, but just weren't able to put points on the board. Junior midfielder Shevon Stewart (Kingston, Jamaica/St. George's College/Daytona State) led the way with three shots, including one on goal. Junior forward Darryn Commissiong (Pickering, Ontario/St. Mary Catholic) added another try on target. Junior goalkeeper Noah Lawrence (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Sacred Heart) continued his stellar play between the pipes with five saves to bring his season total to a conference-leading 47 stops.

On the season, Commissiong leads the Bearcats with 13 points (5 goals, 3 assists), while junior Creggton Charlton (Clarendon, Jamaica/Clarendon College/Daytona State) has 9 points (4 goals, 1 assist).

// SCOUTING THE HURRICANE
Tulsa (4-6, 0-2 AAC) dropped a 3-2 overtime decision at No. 9 UCF on Oct. 12. Senior midfielder Harris Partain scored a pair of goals, while goalkeeper Bryson Reed saved two shots in the loss. On the season, Partain leads the Hurricane with nine goals, while Marcos Moreno has five assists and Reed has 13 saves. In the preseason, Tulsa was picked to finish seventh in the eight-team conference, while junior midfielder Chase Bromstedt was a unanimous selection to the preseason all-league team.

// TULSA SERIES
The Bearcats trail the Hurricane in the all-time series, 0-5-1. UC's one result against Tulsa came in 2015, 1-1 home overtime draw. Last season, the Red & Black fell 1-0 at Gettler Stadium. In the last meeting in Tulsa, the Bearcats dropped a 1-0 decision in 2017.
