CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team traveled to Moon Township, Pa., over the weekend to take part in its first of three fall tournaments with the Bearcats playing a trio of games hosted by Robert Morris. On the day (September 28), the Bearcats squared off with Liberty, Canisius and host RMU.

"We were really excited to have our first competition with our 2019-20 team," eighth-year Head Coach Gina Thomas said. "It was good to see our young new talent combined with experienced upper classmen on the field together. We tried to encourage our team to always stay focused on the little things and we saw a little of that this past weekend. We have built a strong foundation of fundamentals, system, and competition and, if we stick to getting better at those things, we're going to be tough to beat moving forward."

With the first weekend of play in the books, the Bearcats will turn their focus to preparing for their next event, the Delaware Fall Tournament. The tournament, which will be played Sunday, October 13, in Newark, Del., will see the Bearcats face four opponents that day, including Niagara (9 a.m.), Fairfield (10:05 a.m.), Lafayette (12:15 p.m.) and Army (1:20 p.m.).
