TicketsPROVIDENCE, R.I. – University of Cincinnati men's soccer senior forward Rex Epps (Irmo, S.C./Dutch Fork/Army West Point) has been selected to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Epps earned the honor after scoring the game-winner in a 1-0 UC (5-7-1, 1-2-1 AAC) win at Tulsa on Saturday night. The score came in the 68th minute off of an assist from junior goalkeeper Noah Lawrence (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Sacred Heart) to give the Bearcats their first conference win of the season. In addition, the tally was his second of the season and first game-winning goal in 2019.
The weekly awards mark the fourth time this year UC has been recognized by the league. Most recently, Lawrence was named Goalkeeper of the Week while junior forward Darryn Commissiong (Pickering, Ontario/St. Mary Catholic) was picked for the Weekly Honor Roll on Oct. 7.
