For the fifth time this season, University of Cincinnati's Jordan Thompson has been named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Thompson averaged 7.50 kills per set with a .475 hitting percentage to lead the Bearcats to two match sweeps. On Friday against Memphis she finished with 17 kills on .483 hitting and added in nine digs, three blocks and an ace. She followed that with 28 kills in three sets against SMU, hitting .471 in Sunday's match with an additional eight digs, two blocks and two aces. Thompson continues to lead the nation for the second-straight year in kills per set, kills, points per set and points. Her 28 kills in a three-set match is the most by any player across the country, and it's a feat she has now done twice. She also has the second-most kills this season in a four-set match (37) and the most in a five-set match (41). Thompson is the only active player in NCAA Division-I volleyball with more than 2,000 career kills and a career average of more that 5.00 kills per set.
