Growing up I always told people I wanted to be a veterinarian but clearly God had other plans. I was born into a big sports family. My grandfather played in the NFL, my mom was a track runner for The University of Oregon and all four of her brothers played basketball or football at the collegiate level. Not playing a sport wasn't really an option to say the least lol. Basketball has taken me places, opened many doors and has introduced me to some of the best people in my life. However, I can proudly say that the sport never defined me but it sure did mold me! What drives me everyday is my family & faith.    My mom is a Christian minister and has always taught me that if I put God first he will give me the desires of my heart and he truly has. I was raised in Long Beach, California and have a really big family so being so far away from home is something I really had to adapt to upon moving to Cincinnati. However, the people in this University have made me more comfortable than I could ever imagine.    I am the second oldest of seven kids and take my role as a big sister very serious. Four out of five of my younger siblings are all under 14 years old so you can only imagine the spotlight that is on me. Everything I do, everything I say, every move I make in my life big or little, they are watching and I value that. They are the reason why I keep going even when adversity hits. I want to lead by example.    I am beyond thankful for God putting Coach Heard in my life. She gave me the opportunity to come here and finish out my college basketball career and not only that but gave me the chance to be a part of her staff as a graduate assistant. It is because of her, my biggest fear is being average and I have to say being a part of this staff makes average feel uncomfortable. I will be graduating in December with my MA in Sports Administration and can't wait to see what God does in my life. Won't He do it!
