Junior forward Creggton Charlton (Clarendon, Jamaica/Clarendon College/Daytona State) scored his fifth goal of the season Saturday night in a 7-1 Bearcats (5-9-1, 1-3-1 AAC) loss to the 12th-ranked SMU Mustangs at Gettler Stadium.
Charlton led UC with five shots, including three on target. Junior midfielder Shevon Stewart (Kingston, Jamaica/St. George's College/Daytona State) and senior defender Donovan Segree (Kingston, Jamaica/Jamaica College/Daytona) were both credited with an assist on Charlton's goal. Segree also had two shots, while junior forward Darryn Commissiong (Pickering, Ontario/St. Mary Catholic), too, recorded a pair. Junior goalkeeper Noah Lawrence (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Sacred Heart) saved two shots to bring his season total to 54.
On the season, Commissiong leads the Bearcats with 13 points (5 goals, 3 assists), while Charlton has 11 points (5 goals, 1 assist).

USF (8-5-1, 2-3 AAC) is winless in its last three matches with, most recently, a 1-0 home loss to No. 8 UCF on Saturday. Goalkeeper Harrison Devenish-Meares recorded four saves in the setback. On the season, junior defender Avionne Flanagan leads the Bulls with nine points (1 goal, 7 assists), while junior midfielder Emilio Ycaza paces USF with four goals. Devenish-Meares totals 33 saves on the year with a 73% save percentage. In AAC play, the Bulls boast wins against UConn and Tulsa. In the preseason, USF was picked to finish fourth in the eight-team league with Flanagan and junior forward Adrian Billhardt selected all-conference.
