University of Cincinnati volleyball travels south to Florida this week for two American Athletic Conference matches. UC takes on USF on Friday at 7 p.m. then UCF on Sunday at 1 p.m.

// OPPONENT OVERVIEW
• UC is 23-13 all-time against USF
• UC beat USF on home court earlier this year
• The Bearcats swept the Bulls in both meetings last season
• UC also swept USF in the first conference match of 2017 before the Bulls came back and won in five later in the year
• Both meetings in 2016 were also UC 3-0 victories
• The Bulls won their first AAC match this season, 3-0 versus Temple, and have lost all 11 since
• UC is 7-9 all-time against UCF
• The Bearcats triumphed in an exciting 3-0 sweep against the Knights earlier this year at Fifth Third Arena
• The Knights won the conference title last year while UC finished in second
• Last year, the Bearcats fell in five sets in both the home and away matches. The latter match was played on the road when the Knights were ranked No. 22 in the nation
• The Bearcats last beat the Knights in the first meeting of 2017, taking a 3-0 victory on the road at the beginning of the AAC season
• The loss at UC remains the only AAC defeat for UCF this season
 
// CONFERENCE STANDINGS
• It's a close race as four matches remain in the 2019 regular season
• In the East, UC and UCF remain tied at 11-1 with UC winning the first matchup of the two teams 3-0
• ECU follows at 5-7, followed by UConn at 3-9, Temple at 2-10 and USF at 1-11
• Houston holds the lead in the West with a 9-3 record while SMU (8-4) and Tulsa and Tulane (7-5) are second and third, respectively in their division
• Wichita State and Memphis round out the bottom of the West with 4-8 conference records
 
// POSTSEASON PREVIEW
• The 2019 AAC Tournament will be held November 22-24 in Orlando, Florida, since UCF won the conference title in 2019
• Both UC and UCF have clinched a spot
• The top two teams from each division will earn a spot to the tournament with the other two teams decided by an inter-division tiebreaker
• Seeds 1 and 2 will have a buy on Friday and automatically qualify for Saturday's semifinal
• The championship match will air live on ESPNU on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
• The tournament winner will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament
• The NCAA Selection Show will be on Sunday, December 1
