The regular season comes to an end this weekend for University of Cincinnati volleyball. UC travels to ECU on Friday at 7 p.m. then hosts Tulsa at Fifth Third Arena on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Bearcats can clinch the 2019 American Athletic Conference championship with one win this weekend.

• All six teams have clinched spots in the AAC Tournament hosted by UCF November 22-24
• Cincinnati, UCF, SMU, Houston, Tulane and Tulsa will all vie for the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA postseason
• UC needs just one win to clinch the regular season title, No. 1 seed and will host the AAC tournament in 2020
• UCF will be no lower than the three seed
• SMU leads the West Division by one match and need a win against either Tulane on Friday and/or Houston on Sunday to clinch the No. 2 seed
• Houston and Tulane both have a chance to claim the No. 2 seed if they sweep their weekend opponents and SMU is swept on the weekend
• The top two seeds (the two division winners) receive byes into the semifinals while seeds 3-6 begin action on Friday, November 22
• Semifinals will be Saturday at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
• The 2019 AAC Tournament Championship match will be Sunday, November 24 at 1:30 p.m. and air live on ESPNU
// THOMPSON RECEIVES ACADEMIC HONORS
• Jordan Thompson added another accolade to her ever-growing list when she was named a CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team member this week
• She will now be in consideration for Academic All-America that will be announced in December
• Thompson already graduated with a bachelor's in criminal justice and carries a 3.67 GPA in graduate school studying criminal justice
• She will earn her second degree this December
• Already this year, Thompson became UC's career leader in kills, became the first Division I player since 1999 and one of six players to ever record 50 kills in a game, and reset her own UC and AAC single-match mark with that 50-kill performance
• With 19 more kills, she will be the ninth player in NCAA history to reach the 2,500 kill mark in her career
• She is on pace to become the only UC player in history to average 5.00 or more kills per set
• Thompson will finish her college career as the most decorated and lauded UC and AAC player ever and continue on as a member of the US National Team that she led to clinch a spot in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games
