PROVIDENCE, R.I. – University of Cincinnati women's basketball junior forward IImar'I Thomas (Oakland, Calif./Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep) has been picked for the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
The preseason all-conference pick averaged 19.0 points and 10.5 rebounds last week as UC split a pair of contests.
She posted a career-high 25 points, to go along with 12 rebounds, in a 78-73 overtime loss Wednesday to Ohio State. Thomas continued her strong play with 13 points and nine rebounds in a 63-56 win Saturday vs. Ball State.
Entering Monday, Thomas is tied for sixth in the AAC in scoring (18.3 PPG) and fifth in rebounding (10.3 RPG). She is also second in the league in both free-throw shooting (86.4%) and offensive rebounds (5.5 RPG).
