CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati kicker Sam Crosa (Columbus, Ohio/Dublin Scioto/Western Illinois) was named the American Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Crosa scored eight points, including the game-winning field goal as time expired, to lift Cincinnati to a 20-17 win against USF, giving the Bearcats a two-game lead in The American's East Division standings. Crosa's gamewinner came from 37 yards, and he drilled a 41-yard attempt late in the third quarter to bring the Bearcats within a touchdown.

RB Michael Warren II (Toledo, Ohio/Central Catholic) and LB Bryan Wright (New Castle, Delaware/Jirah Prep) earned spots on the weekly honor roll.

Warren rushed for 134 yards and a TD on 26 carries and hauled in two catches for 30 yards. Fifty of his yards came on UC's final drive which set up Crosa's game-winning field goal.

Wright topped the UC chart with nine tackles and a sack against the Bulls.
