INDIANAPOLIS - University of Cincinnati swimming got off to a good start at the House of Champions while diving continued its competition at the Mizzou Invite this week.
// PODIUM FINISHES
• Maddie Exton, Lina Kutsko, Abby Johnston and Claire Farrell started the meet with a second-place finish in the 200 free relay (1:32.65)
• Rocky Laabs repeated as the winner in the 500 free and broke her own event record with a time of 4:48.32
• The Bearcats women swept the 500 free with Sydney St. Rose-Finear finishing second and Jordyn Ryan in third
• Camryn Streid was second to the wall in the 200 IM (2:01.91) while Michaela Wheeler was close behind to finish third (2:01.97). Both times were faster than the meet record set in 2018
• Dominic Polling repeated as champion of the 200 IM at the event with a 1:46.24, just short of his own meet record
• Spencer Sehlhorst was second and Dalton Lillibridge third in the 200 IM
• Lina Kutsko was second in the 50 free with teammate Exton coming in third
• The women placed third in the 400 medley relay, with efforts from Jaclyn Klimczak, Lindsey Sanders, Kutsko and Exton
• UC's men were second in the 400 medley relay. Joey Puglessi, Lillibridge, Parker Saladin and Murat Sagdullawv competed for the Bearcats

• Gus Staubitz placed eighth for the men in the finals of 3-meter

• The House of Champions will continue on Saturday with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals starting at 6 p.m.
• The Bearcats will compete in the 200 medley relay, 100 fly, 400 IM, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back and 800 free relay on day two of action
