// SET BREAKDOWN
Set 1: UC 25-20
The first set was close for most of the way until the Bearcats pulled away late. The Bulls got out to a 4-0 lead before Thompson's back-to-back kills put the Bearcats on the board. A block by Oliver and Heckenmueller tied the set at six. Out of a 7-7 tie, Thompson had a kill, USF committed two errors, Waters had a block and Thompson added in another successful attack to give UC an 11-7 advantage. After a UC timeout, USF took a 16-14 lead but a Bulls service ace, Waters ace and Damjana Cabarkapa kill helped tie the set at 17. The Bulls took another lead, this time 19-18, but three straight kills by Bearcats Thompson, Oliver and Waters put UC up for good. Thompson had three consecutive kills of her own to make it set point before Oliver ended it on a kill.

Set 2: UC 25-19
USF scored the first point of the set again, but UC was quicker to answer this time and cruised to the 2-0 match lead. The Bearcats scored six-straight points to lead 16-9. With just a one-point lead, Oliver started the run with a kill, Fauske served an ace, Thompson had a kill and a Bulls attack error forced a USF timeout. Out of the break, UC continued on the streak after another USF error and kill by Oliver. Some late Thompson kills and a block by Oliver and Thompson brought the lead to 24-19 and another Thompson kill made it final.

Set 3: UC 25-14
The Bearcats played their best in the third, hitting .448 and holding the Bulls to a .121 attack percentage. Waters started the UC scoring with a kill then went back to serve five times in a row as Fauske and Thompson followed with kills and two USF errors kept the momentum with UC. The lead ballooned to seven, 10-3, on a Fauske kill. Later on, Cabarkapa and Fauske went back-to-back with kills to put the set at 17-9. UC doubled USF's point total at 20-10 and 22-11, both times via Cabarkapa kills. A service error made it 24-14 and an Oliver kill completed the match.
