ATLANTA – Members of University of Cincinnati swimming started competition on Thursday at the Toyota US Open.
The day started with prelims. The trio of Kevin Leibold, Michael Balcerak and Tyler Jones swam the 400 free with Leibold placing 61st (4:01.04) and being tabbed as a reserve for finals.
Dominic Polling followed with a 26th-place finish in the prelims of the 200 IM. He was fifth to the wall in the C Final with a time of 2:03.76. Dalton Lillibridge also swam the 200 IM prelims, placing 61st.
Maddie Exton was the lone women's Bearcats competitor, She placed 89th in the prelims for the 50 free with a 26.72 swim.
The event resumes on Friday with the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast and 100 back. The finals will air live on NBC Sports Network.
