University of Cincinnati volleyball continues its historic NCAA Tournament run as it travels to Stanford for Regional action this weekend.
The Bearcats will face No. 11 seed Penn State on Friday night at 8 p.m. EST in the Regional Semifinal. The winner of that match and the winner of the No. 3 Stanford/No. 17 Utah match will face off for a spot in the finals on Saturday at 10 p.m. EST.

• As a CoSIDA Second Team Academic All-American she is just the second UC player to earn both athletic and academic All-America honors in her career

• Thompson leads the nation in kills, points, kills per set and points per set for the second-straight season
• She ranks seventh all-time in kills in NCAA career history and is one of seven players to record 50 kills or more in a single match
• She is the UC and AAC leader in career kills, single-season kills and single-match kills, with room to still reset those records this year
• Thompson is the most decorated athlete in Bearcats history and is on pace to be the only to average more than 5.00 kills per set in her career
• Sophomore Maria Mallon joined her with All-Region honors, landing a well-deserved spot on the Honorable Mention list
