University of Cincinnati swimming and diving had a busy day on Friday as select swimmers competed in day two of the Toyota US Open and the rest of the team began competition at the Zippy Invitational hosted by Akron.

• The Bearcats had a busy day at the US Open in Atlanta
• Blake Hanna placed 48th in the 400 IM prelims and 74th in the 100 back prelims
• Lina Kutsko had a 59th-place prelims swim in the 100 fly
• Michael Balcerak was 79th in the 100 fly prelims
• Kevin Leibold was in two prelims events, finishing 105th in the 100 fly and 85th in the 200 free
• Parker Saladin also competed in the 100 fly, coming in 126th in the prelims
• Joey Puglessi was 130th in the 100 fly prelims and 52nd in the 100 back prelims
• Dominic Polling had the highest prelim finish of the day, placing 41st in the 100 breast
• Dalton Lillibridge was 43rd in the 100 breast
• Conor Lynch was 79th in the 100 back prelims

• The women competed in 1-meter with Kaley Pook posting the Bearcats best finish, seventh with a 232.95
• For the men, Gus Staubitz was third in 3-meter with a 261.40 while Dylan Porter placed fourth with a score of 252.55 in the finals
// PODIUM FINISHES
• UC took third in the women's 200 free relay, swam by Abby Johnston, Claire Farrell, Maddie Hannan and Michaela Wheeler (1:33.31)
• The men also placed third in the 200 free relay (1:22.26) thanks to efforts by Murat Sagdullaev, Alberto Garcia, Dominic Intas and Remington Oland
• Rocky Laabs: 500 free, 1st (4:47.27). Meet record
• Noah Smith: 500 free, 1st (4:25.81). Meet record
• Farrell: 50 free, 3rd (23.37)
