INDIANAPOLIS – University of Cincinnati swimming and diving captured the 2019 American Athletic Conference men's swimming and diving championship for the second-straight year Saturday night while the women repeated as runner-up finishers.
 
Four more school records went down on the final day of competition as the Bearcats proved once again to be a formidable opponent in the pool. Head Coach Mandy Commons-DiSalle repeated as the Men's Swimming Coach of the Year while Din Selmanovic was honored as the Men's Swimmer of the Year.
 
Blake Hanna started the record-breaking night by posting a school record in the 200 back (1:43.93) to win the event. Dominic Polling posted a school-record time in the 200 breast (1:56.85) to bring home the silver medal. In the 200 fly, Parker Saladin won gold with a record-breaking swim (1:44.74). The men's 400 free relay lineup of Polling, Alberto Garcia, Justin Crew and Alex Fortman finished the night with an exciting victory and UC top time of 2:56.01.
 
Other individual champions on the night included Louis Hunt in platform diving (277.80), Tyler Jones in the 1650 free (15:19.01) and Fortman in the 100 free (43.69)
