TicketsUniversity of Cincinnati cheer and dance continued to be one of the top spirit programs in the country at the 2020 UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship as it placed top ten in all five categories.
Cheer finished runner-up in the Game Day competition, a category that they have never finished out of the top three. They placed eighth in Division 1A large coed. Dance finished sixth in both the Pom and Hip Hop categories. Bearcat placed tenth versus his fellow mascots.
2020 marks yet another successful year on the national stage for UC cheer and dance. The cheer squad posted two top-10 finishes last year, including placing third in Division I-A Game Day, the same category they were National Champions in 2018. The dance team has long been considered one of the nation's elite squads, with seven National Championships and 10 World Championships to its credit. In 2009, the team was selected to represent our country as Team USA Dance at the first ICU World Championship. They were also selected to be Team USA again in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. The team won three consecutive National titles in the Hip Hop category for the years 2004, 2005 and 2006 and then won the title back in 2009 and again in 2014, 2015 and 2017.
