CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati redshirt-senior forward Trevon Scott (Townsend, Ga./McIntosh County Academy) was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll on Monday.
Scott averaged 17.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.0 assists in a 1-1 week for the Bearcats. He registered his eighth double-double of the season Sunday tallying a career-high 25 points and matching a career-best with 13 rebounds to go with four steals in a 72-71 overtime loss at UConn. He just missed a double-double Thursday at Wichita State, posting nine points and 11 rebounds in UC's 80-79 win.
For the week, Scott shot 57.1 percent (12 of 21) from the floor, including 42.9 percent (3 of 7) from beyond the arc.
Since the start of league play, Scott ranks among AAC leaders in nine categories: defensive rebounds (first at 7.9), rebounds (tied for first at 10.2), steals (third at 2.3), field goal percentage (fifth at .525), offensive rebounds (tied for seventh at 2.3), assist-to-turnover ratio (eighth at 1.5), minutes played (ninth at 33.5), assists (11th at 3.2) and blocks (tied for 11th at 1.0).
For the season, Scott is averaging 10.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals. He has led the Bearcats in rebounding in 16 games, pulling down 10 or more boards in 12 contests. His 9.5 rebounds per game are the most by a Bearcat since Eric Hicks averaged 9.7 rebounds during the 2005-06 campaign.
