The Turning Point: Jarron Cumberland threaded a bounce pass to Keith Williams for a layup in overtime to give UC a 76-74 lead it would not relinquish. Cumberland went up the middle seconds later and was fouled, converting the three-point play to cap a 6-0 UC run. The Bearcats would go on to win 92-86 in its fifth overtime game of the season (3-2) and second in-a-row.
 
TEAM NOTES
• Tonight's attendance was 12,239, UC's second-straight sellout of Fifth Third Arena, third of the season and the largest crowd of the 2019-20 campaign. 
• UC leads the all-time series 47-34 and 26-10 in Cincinnati. The Bearcats have won seven of eight overall versus the Tigers and seven-in-a-row in Cincinnati. 
• UC trailed 29-27 at the half as the opening 20 minutes featured nine lead changes and a pair of ties. Neither team led by more than six (Memphis @ 5:44), UC went almost six minutes without a field goal and Jarron Cumberland and Chris Vogt were limited to just over 10 minutes apiece after picking up two early fouls. Memphis' Lester Quinones led all players with 11 points.
• UC played in its second-straight overtime game and fifth of the season. It's the most overtime games in a season for the Bearcats since playing a school-record six during the 1966-67 campaign. UC is 3-2 in overtime games in 2019-20.
• UC went 9-for-33 (.273) from the three-point line and 29-of-47 (.617) from the free-throw line but made six of its last seven attempts from the charity stripe late in overtime. 
• The Bearcats rung up a season-high 92 points, besting the 89 the team posted against Temple on Jan. 22, 2020. UC also set season highs for three-point field goal attempts (33) and had its second-best season total in free-throws made (29) and attempted (47). 
• UC has had 12 or fewer turnovers in five of the past seven games.
 
PLAYER NOTES
• Trevon Scott continued his torrid play of late, posting a game-high 25 points for the second-straight game. He also pulled down a career-best 19 rebounds, the highest total for a UC player since Cedric McGowan had 20 boards against DePaul on Jan. 4, 2006.
• Jarron Cumberland finished with 15 points and nine rebounds, despite only making a single field goal (1-for-7). He finished 13-of-15 from the charity stripe. He ties his own team best this season, matching the 13 free throws he made at Temple on Jan. 22.
• Jeremiah Davenport had an impactful 11:26 on the floor, sparking the Bearcats with a career high eight points and a pair of triples. 
• Mika Adams-Woods poured in a career high 14 points, knocking down three triples along the way. He also had four rebounds, three steals and two assists and played a career high 35:57.
