  • Winners in six of its last seven games, Cincinnati (16-8, 9-3 American) travels to East Carolina (10-15, 4-8) on Sunday. The contest tips at noon ET on CBS Sports Network and 700 WLW.
  • The Bearcats rallied from a 10-point deficit with 6:11 left in regulation for a 92-86 overtime home win over Memphis on Thursday. Trevon Scott tied a career-high with 25 points and pulled down a career-best 19 rebounds. Jarron Cumberland tallied 15 points and a game-best nine assists. Mika Adams-Woods scored a career-high 14 points with a trio of 3-pointers.  
  • ECU is coming off a 70-56 road loss at Tulsa on Wednesday. J.J. Miles led the Pirates with 21 points and four 3-pointers. 
  • Sunday marks the second time this season the teams have met. Cincinnati claimed an 82-57 win at Fifth Third Arena on Jan. 19. UC owns a 13-2 advantage in the series, including a 5-2 against the Pirates in Greenville, N.C.

  • Trevon Scott is coming off consecutive career-best performances. He tallied 25 points and 19 rebounds with a trio of 3-pointers in 42 minutes against Memphis on Thursday. Four days earlier, he tallied 25 points and 13 rebounds with four steals in 43 minutes at UConn (2/9). 
  • His two-game averages: 25.0 points, 16.0 rebounds, 60 percent (18 of 30) shooting from the field, 45.5 percent (5 of 11) shooting from 3-point range in 42.5 minutes.
  • Scott's 19 rebounds against Memphis (2/13) were the most since Cedric McGowan pulled down 20 boards against DePaul (1/4/2006). 
  • Scott's effort against Memphis (2/13) was one rebound shy of Cincinnati's first 20 point-20 rebound game since Kenyon Martin tallied 24 points and 23 rebounds in a 75-38 home win over DePaul (2/21/1998).  
  • Over the last eight games, Jarron Cumberland has led the Bearcats in scoring five times, averaging a team-best 18.3 points and 6.3 assists.
  • Chris Vogt entered Friday's action ranked third in the nation, shooting 67.4 percent (122 of 181) from the field. He has shot at least 50 percent from the floor in 20 of 24 games this season.
  • Cincinnati has played in five overtime games this season (3-2 record), the most since 1966-67 when the Bearcats took part in a school-record six overtime games (5-1 record).

  • East Carolina is 2-5 since falling at Cincinnati on Jan. 19, beating Tulane twice (81-62 at home on Jan. 25 and in 81-67 in New Orleans on Feb. 8). 
  • ECU's sophomore forward Jayden Gardner ranks among the AAC leaders in points (1st at 20.2), offensive rebounds (1st at 3.2), rebounds (3rd at 9.7), minutes played (4th at 34.0), defensive rebounds (5th at 6.5) and field goal percentage (6th at .536) this season. 
  • He ranked among the nation's leaders in free throw attempts (1st at 196), free throws made (5th at 143), double-doubles (19th with 12), field goals made (20th at 179), total points (20th at 505) and points per game (24th at 20.2) through Thursday's action.
  • Head coach Joe Dooley is in the second year of his second stint leading the Pirates' program after coaching ECU from 1995-99. 
// EAST CAROLINA SERIES HISTORY
  • Cincinnati owns a 13-2 record in its series with ECU. The Bearcats hold an 8-0 advantage in Cincinnati are 5-2 against the Pirates in Greenville, N.C.
  • Earlier this season, UC claimed an 82-57 win over ECU on Jan. 19 at Fifth Third Arena.
  • ECU won the only meeting between the teams a year ago, claiming a 73-71 decision in Greenville on Jan. 5, 2019. The loss snapped a four-game series win streak for UC.
  • The two teams played six times while members of Conference USA. The series began with a 105-69 Cincinnati win on Dec. 6, 1991 in the Queen City.

  • TAKING BETTER CARE OF THE BALL: Cincinnati has committed 12 or fewer turnovers in five of its past seven games, averaging 11.6 miscues during the stretch (starting with its last game against ECU). Through its first 17 games of the season, the Bearcats were averaging 15.1 turnovers.  
  • BONUS BASKETBALL: Cincinnati has played in five overtime games this season (3-2 record), the most since 1966-67 when the Bearcats took part in a school-record six overtime games (5-1 record). 
  • Each of UC's last two contests took an extra period to determine the winner. The Bearcats rallied back from a 10-point deficit to Memphis with 6:11 left in regulation, forcing OT then claiming an 92-86 win. At UConn last Sunday, Cincinnati dropped an 72-71 overtime decision at Gampel Pavilion. 
  • Earlier this season, UC played three consecutive overtime games for the first time in school history: vs. Bowling Green (L, 84-91 on Nov. 24); vs. Valparaiso (W, 81-77 on Nov. 25); and UNLV (W, 72-65 on Nov. 30). 
  • The run was one game shy of matching the NCAA record for most consecutive overtime games at four set by Jacksonville (1982), Illinois State (1985) and Dayton (1988). 
  • LEGACY BUILDERS: Cincinnati has won 105 games since the start of the 2016-17 season, eighth most in the nation entering play Friday. Redshirt-senior Trevon Scott has played in 104 of those victories while senior Jarron Cumberland has played in 102 of the wins.
  • UC great Steve Logan owns the school record for playing in the most school wins, seeing action in 111 victories from 1998-99 through 2001-02. 
  • Scott, along with Virginia's Mamdi Diakite and Michigan's Jon Teske had played in more wins (104) than any other player at the Division I level entering Friday.
