FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. – University of Cincinnati women's golf is set to start the 2020 spring season Monday through Tuesday at the 7th annual Amelia Island Collegiate hosted by Jacksonville University.
The Bearcats are looking to get back on track and start this spring strong after a few months off. They are led by senior Alyssa Burritt, who averages 74.9 strokes and is looking for her third consecutive top 20 finish. The Bearcats will face a talented field in Florida in their first event of 2020.
The two-day tournament hosted by Jacksonville University features 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. Play will begin both days with 8 a.m. shotgun starts. Live scoring and results will be available through GolfStat.com
The 16-team field features host Jacksonville, Cincinnati, Daytona State, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Jacksonville State, Marshall, Morehead State, North Florida, Sam Houston State, Samford, UAB, USC Upstate, Western Kentucky, Winthrop.

Burritt notched her second consecutive top 20 finish on Nov. 5, She shot 4-over-par to place in a tie for 18th at the Idle Hour Collegiate Championship, in Macon, GA. Burritt went plus-2 on both the front and back-nine holes of the third round with a birdie on hole No. 3 and saved par on holes 11-18. Senior Daniela Murcia followed Burritt for UC's best score of the tournament with a +19 finish, highlighted by a pair of birdies on the front nine.
