University of Cincinnati swimming and diving will look to continue its dominance at the American Athletic Conference Championship that is slated to begin this Wednesday, February 19 and run through Saturday, February 22.
The Bearcats men are the back-to-back team champion while Mandy Commons-Disalle earned back-to-back Men's Swimming Coach of the Year awards heading into the 2019-20 season. The women have placed runner-up the past two years.
This year's competition will take place at the CRWC Natatorium in Houston, Texas. All prelim and finals events will air live on the American Digital Network via Facebook.

• Numerous Bearcats that medaled at last year's event return this season to repeat or improve
• Three of the four 800 free relay champions remain on this year's roster
• Blake Hanna, Dominic Polling and Alberto Garcia helped break the school record in the 200 medley relay at the 2019 championships
• Claire Schuermann, the 2018 Women's Diver of the Year, placed third in 1-meter
• Din Selmanovic broke the school record in the 500 free for the individual win and also won the 200 free. He was second in the 1650 free
• Toby Van Dyke place second in the 500 free
• Polling added an individual gold medal with a UC record time in the 200 IM and finished second in the 100 breast. His third record came on the final day with a second-place finish in the 200 breast
• Lina Kutsko began day three in 2019 championships with a UC record swim and second-place finish in the 100 fly
• Joey Puglessi set the school record in the 100 back, finishing third. He also was third in the 200 back
• Parker Saladin was third in the 100 fly and set a school record with a gold medal-winning 200 fly performance
• Rocky Laabs reached the podium with a third-place finish in the 200 free
• Alex Fortman was also third in the 200 free and won the 100 free
• Tyler Jones took first in the 1650 free
• Hanna added yet another school record with a win in the 200 back
• Puglessi, Polling, Garcia and Fortman broke the Bearcats' 400 medley relay record for the win
• The women posted a second-place 400 free relay finish while Polling, Garcia and Fortman will look to beat their 2019-winning 400 free relay time
