- The Bearcats claimed their seventh win in eight games Sunday, escaping East Carolina with a 70-67 overtime victory. Keith Williams scored six of his game-high 17 points in overtime to spark Cincinnati. Trevon Scott recorded his third consecutive double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds to go with three blocks. Chris Vogt and Jarron Cumberland tallied 13 points each. Mika Adams-Woods added 10 points, six rebounds and four assists.
- UCF hasn't played since seeing its two-game win streak end with a 75-58 home loss to Wichita State on Feb. 13. Matt Milon and Darin Green Jr. tallied 13 points each to lead the cause.
- Cincinnati claimed a 68-54 win at UCF earlier this season on Jan. 11. Keith Williams tallied 16 points while Trevon Scott contributed 14 points and 11 rebounds.
- The Bearcats lead their series with UCF 12-2 overall, including a 5-0 mark in the Queen City.

Brannen compiled 81 wins the past four season at Northern Kentucky (2016-19), captured one victory in two games as interim head coach at Alabama (2014-15) and enters Wednesday with 17 wins leading Cincinnati's program this season.
- BRANNEN IN FEBRUARY: Since the start of the 2016-17 season, John Brannen-coached teams are 22-7 (.759) in the month of February, including an 18-6 mark at Northern Kentucky and 4-1 record at Cincinnati.
- HOME SWEET HOME: The Bearcats are 60-4 (.938) at home since the start of 2016-17, including a 31-2 (.939) mark against AAC teams.
- BONUS BASKETBALL: Cincinnati has tied a school record and set an AAC record, playing in six overtime games (4-2 record) this season. The flurry of overtime contests matches the 1966-67 squad (5-1 record) for most in school history.
- The Bearcats have played three consecutive overtime games for the second time this season, becoming the first Division I team in the last 20 years to play into overtime in three straight games two different times in the same season according to StatsbyStats.
- The NCAA record for most consecutive overtime games in a season is four set by Jacksonville (1982), Illinois State (1985) and Dayton (1988).
- The NCAA record for most overtime games in a season is eight set by Western Kentucky (1978), Portland (1984) and Valparaiso (1993).
- Only 25 games into his UC coaching tenure, John Brannen already has tied Ed Jucker (4-5 in overtime games from 1960-65) for the fourth most overtime wins by a coach in school history (see page 11 of notes).
- Trevon Scott owns the school record, having played in 10 overtime games (8-2 record) during his career. Jarron Cumberland has played in nine OT games (7-2 record) as a Bearcat, having sat out the Valparaiso (11/25) OT affair earlier this season due to injury.
- WILD MONTH FOR THE BEARCATS: The month of February has featured three overtime games and four of five contests determined in the final seconds: Cincinnati held off then-No. 21 Houston 64-62 on Feb. 1 when Cougar guard Caleb Mills missed a 20-footer just before the buzzer ... Five days later, Jarron Cumberland connected on a three-point play with 3.5 seconds left to give UC an 80-79 win at Wichita State on Feb. 6 ... Cumberland couldn't get a shot off before the buzzer as Cincinnati fell at UConn, 72-71, in OT on Feb. 9 ... The Bearcats rallied from a 10-point deficit to Memphis (Feb. 13) with 6:11 left in regulation to later win in overtime, 92-86 ... Keith Williams scored six of his game-high 17 points in overtime and ECU's Jayden Gardner missed a running 30-footer at the buzzer as UC held off the Pirates for a 70-67 OT road win on Sunday.
