HOUSTON, Texas - University of Cincinnati swimming and diving reached the podium three times on the opening day of the American Athletic Conference Championships with one gold medal.
Din Selmanovic, Murat Sagdullaev, Michael Balcerak and Alex Fortman raced to a win in the 800 freestyle relay, coming to the wall in 6:25.94. UC's men have now won the event for three-straight seasons. Both the men and women placed third in the 200 medley relay. Jaclyn Klimczak, Victoria Hunt, Lina Kutsko and Claire Farrell finished in 1:39.34. Blake Hanna, Dominic Polling, Balcerak and Dom Intas swam the event in 1:27.20 for their third-place finish. Both 200 medley relay times were school records.
