The Turning Point: Cincinnati used an 8-0 run to close the first half, held Wichita to one field goal over a span of 7:49, built up a nine-point lead in the second half and Jarron Cumberland and Mika Adams-Woods combined to make four-of-six free throws in the final 16 seconds to propel UC to a 67-64 win.

• Today's attendance was 12,137, the fourth sellout of the season inside Fifth Third Arena.
• UC played seven games in February, going 5-2 with four overtime games and six of seven contests decided in the final seconds.
• Head Coach John Brannen registered career victory No. 100 (100-61 in five seasons).
• UC leads the all-time series against the Shockers 24-12, 13-4 in Cincinnati with five consecutive wins overall.

PLAYER NOTES
• Jarron Cumberland played a key role in both regular-season wins over WSU, dropping 24 points, five rebounds and six assists on Sunday and scoring 24 with five assists and three rebounds in UC's 80-79 win in Wichita on Feb. 6. Sunday, Cumberland sank three-of-four free throws in the final seconds in UC's 67-64 win after converting a three-point play with 3.5 seconds left on the road earlier this month.
• Cumberland was 16-of-22 from the free-throw line marking the fifth time in 2019-20 he had double-digit free-throw makes. UC is 5-0 in those games.
• Trevon Scott finished with eight points and 11 rebounds, his seventh-straight game with double-digit rebounds.
• Zach Harvey played almost 13 key minutes off the bench, tallying eight points, five rebounds and two assists.
NEXT UP
UC has a midweek bye and returns to action in the first of two-straight road games at Houston on Saturday, March 1 at 1 p.m. ET. The Bearcats closed out the road portion of the schedule at USF on Tuesday, March 3 before returning to Fifth Third Arena to play Temple on Saturday, March 7 at 8 p.m.
